Chrysalis services women who are Chronic alcohol and/or other Drug Abusers/Dependent are: homeless, IV Drug Users, Court Ordered/Referred, referrals from CAL Works/TANF, Referrals from Detox, Dually diagnosed, Diagnosed HIV+, Diagnosed AIDS, Referrals from Shelter Plus Care, Referrals from CPS, or Referrals from Alameda County ACCESS, and SACPA (Proposition36).There is confidentiality in everyones records according to federal laws and regulations, which protect their clients. All members of the staff, intern group, or volunteer coalition must keep client information confidential. The members of the staff at Chrysalis have all received their alcohol/drug certification. They must undergo training, which includes working with clients who may have been diagnosed for other matters other than substance abuse. They also work very closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
