The Isabella House Women and Children's Program.
Duration:
6 month inpatient program, serves women who have children and/or are pregnant and who suffer the effects of substance use and abuse.
Services:
Parenting programs, therapeutic childcare, group/individual therapy, life/employment skills, HIV/AIDS education, transitional housing, etc.
Isabella House patients utilize two discrete state-level assistance programs:
- Pregnant & Parenting Women (PPW)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
PPW assists women who are either pregnant or parenting young children.
The children are housed with their mothers and are a factor in determining program eligibility.
TANF also serves mothers with children, but the children may or may not be in the custody of their mothers.
